What Matters for Thursday, October 27, 2016

Mark opens the show with Rev. Mark Creech, executive director of the Christian Action League, to address the tension people of faith/evangelicals are facing between Hillary Clinton’s horrific policy agenda, most notably her stance on abortion including partial-birth abortion, and the moral challenges that characterize some of Donald Trump’s words and behavior. Then Mark speaks with Brian Balfour, executive vice-president of the Civitas Institute, to discuss the Wake County half-cent sales tax for transit that is on the ballot, as well as the additional costs associated with the plan long-term; the lack of demand for transit expansion in Wake County, and the raising of vehicle registration fees and costs users will likely incur above the cost for using the transit service. Tune in for more.
